The Centre of Democracy (CoD) opened for the first time last Wednesday on 24 May 2017. It houses a number of important artefacts relating to the development of democracy in South Australia. The Society’s Secretary, Frances Bedford, played Muriel on a lively float that depicted her 1909 balloon protest in London.
